Admission Information - B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. (Honours & General)

Academic Year 2013 - 2014



Online admission form is available in the websites www.charuchandracollege.com & www.charuchandra.wbcas.com on & from 4th June and the same are to be filled in and submitted online. The last date of submission of the form is 18 June 2013 up to 12 pm. Application fee of Rs. 100.00 (Rupees one hundred only) per form is to be deposited at college counter on presentation of pay-in-slip which can be downloaded after submitting the form on-line. The last date of submission of application fee is 20th June 2013. Counter will be open from 6th June ( Monday to Friday, 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM).

The candidate has to preserve a print out of his/her duly filled up form and bring the same at the time of admission.

The candidate has to preserve his/ her pay-in-slip(s) and produce it during the time of counselling and admission process. Without pay-in-slip no claim for admission will be entertained.

Merit List will be published on 25th June on the above sites. A candidate can access merit list through his/her student ID (provided in the pay-in-slip) and password he/she used during filling up of form.

Any application form containing wrong and or incomplete information will be rejected and not be considered for admission.

PRIMARY ELIGIBILITY FOR SEEKING ADMISSION TO THE 1ST YEAR COURSE

  • Must pass 10+2 Examination in 2013 with English as a Compulsory Subject of 100 marks.
  • For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in Compulsory Environmental Education/ Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
  • A Candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained :
    • A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject at the previous qualifying examination; OR
    • 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination; OR
    • 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST Community taking up Honours Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be.

A candidate shall be allowed to take up the subject(s) under heading “A” if he/she had passed the subject(s) under heading “B” at the previous qualifying examination :

IMPORTANT

  • Candidates must secure pass marks both in theory as well as practical.
  • Candidates must secure pass marks at 10+2 level in the subject or related subject (as the case may be) to select that subject at graduation level as general subject.
  • Actual general subject combination will be decided at the time of admission according to merit and availability of seats.
  • Selection will be based on Merit List to be prepared following the criterion finalised by the concerned departments.
  • The College reserves the right of admission.
  • Application will be cancelled if any of the furnished information is found to be incorrect. In such case college will not be entitled to refund any fees.
